Our trainers travel across the UK helping instructors prepare for their standards check, whether it is their first or their twentieth. At Central we are very proud of our success rate, helping instructors to deliver excellent driver training on one of their most important days and beyond. Our commitment to the driver training industry sees us providing free standards check workshops as part of our contribution to the community. These courses have been found to be invaluable, and many attendees have attributed this to their successful pass.
Previously called the check test, the standards check was revised in 2014, where the grading system changed from 1 to 6, and became A, B or fail. The procedure being the same of three consecutive tests below standard resulting in a fail sees removal of the green badge.
The badge represents livelihood and a career for instructors, to preserve this and to be sure of teaching within a modern, acceptable standard, many ADI’s seek training. Our experience of over thirty years of training has helped many instructors gain a higher grade, or score than previously.
Over recent months we have been called on to help several instructors who have failed the standards check, with advice and training they have turned this result around and gone on to achieve an A grade.
